Trille Lucassens Gade is a large-scale project with strict requirements for sustainability and CO₂ emissions. Back in 2017, JCN Bolig won the tender for two renovation projects on blocks B4 and B7 in Gellerupparken. B4 included the creation of “The Golden Gateway,” which today serves as the symbolic entrance to Gellerup. Alongside the B7 renovation, JCN Bolig also won the right to develop the Trille Lucassens Gade project by submitting a strong proposal in collaboration with PKA Pension.
In November 2022, JCN Bolig reached an agreement with PKA Pension on the ambitious Trille Lucassens Gade development. Since then, the project has been adjusted to comply with the guidelines of the new local development plan, which is based on the comprehensive master plan for Gellerupparken. Final agreements have also been reached with PKA Pension, Brabrand Housing Association, and Aarhus Municipality, allowing the project to move forward in line with the land sale conditions that were part of the agreement.
The project comprises 124 dwellings with a total area of 13,840 m², including 124 apartment units and 44 townhouses. An additional 14 townhouses, covering 1,611 m², are included as an option.
This is a mixed development of apartments and townhouses. Notably, half of the townhouses will be built as a pilot project, adhering to particularly stringent sustainability standards, including a maximum carbon footprint of 7.32 kg CO₂ per m² per year. The entire Trille Lucassens Gade project will be certified to DGNB Gold standards.
