Thybo Ejendomsudvikling and JCN Bolig are building a major project in Aarhus

JCN Bolig has signed the contract to build 229 apartments on Agerbækshaver in Aarhus with Koncenton as the end investor.
JCN Bolig has signed the contract to build 229 apartments on Agerbækshaver in Risskov for Thybo Ejendomsudvikling, with Koncenton as the end investor. Bricks Ejendomme A/S purchased and developed the project. And the residential housing specialist team from JCN Bolig got the green light to start. The contract sum is over DKK 200 million.
The project comprises the building of 93 apartments for seniors, 112 student apartments and 24 terrace houses – a total of 15,786 m2 with associated underground car park, storage areas and parking for bicycles. The residential project is located on Agerbæksvej in Risskov on an area that was previously the location for Aarhus School of Agriculture. Agerbækshaver is located in central Aarhus - close to the city centre with a view across Aarhus Bay. It will be an attractive place to live, close to day-care centres, Aarhus Efterskole boarding school and Aarhus Bay.
The 93 apartments for seniors will be built with varying façades and with roof terraces at the communal building. An attractive and spacious courtyard with parking space for approximately 100 cars will be built at the back, at the same level as the senior apartments. 24 3-storey terrace houses will be built at the rear, extending over some of the parking area. Several of the terrace houses will also have private terraces.
Along Vestre Strandallé by Ringvejen there are 112 student apartments. This part of the project is slightly adjusted in relation to the project material. The roof variations are unchanged but there are new roof inclines and attics facing Vestre Strandallé. Some of the student apartments are drawn back at the communal areas. They are built as three clusters, where the development either integrates with the communal area or the communal building.
The quality of the project is clear to see, including brick façades throughout the entire project and not least recessed balconies in the senior apartments. An exciting and attractive environment next to Agerbækvej, built in organic shapes, cf. C.F. Møller – the project architect.
There is huge demand for student housing in Aarhus, and both Thybo Ejendomsudvikling and JCN Bolig have already completed several attractive student housing projects. “We are proud that we are able to deliver such attractive and distinctive housing for our excellent partner and investor Koncenton. C.F. Møller is currently submitting material to the regulatory authorises for future projects on the other side of Vestre Strandallé. Aarhus Municipality is currently preparing a major local development plan for the area with even more apartments.
The Agerbækshaver area will become a very attractive place to live, located close to Aarhus centre, green areas, and not least, close to the sea.
